Pictures from when we were 4J

4J had a fantastic trip to Chester!  With our history hats on, we got stuck into a range of different activities ranging from looking at real Roman artefacts, to dressing up and enlisting in the Roman army.  A very big thank you to the Grosvenor Museum and Roman Tours UK for providing such a rich learning experience for our children

During World Book Week, we shared books with the children in 1M

We had World Book Week

We are enjoying I was a Rat by Philip Pullman

We have been exploring circuits in our new Science topic of electricity. Through exploration, we have been making and testing our own switches. There's definitely a few budding electricians in this class!

To end our rainforest topic, we used our design and technology skills to create moving booklets all about the rainforest.  The children were handed the instructions for making levers and linkages on Monday, and created fantastic working pop-up books by Friday! They showed an outstanding level of maturity and resilience. Well done 4J!

We enjoyed learning about the impact deforestation and put our learning to the test through holding a debate. Our conclusion was that deforestation is having a negative effect on the planet and we need to take action to sort it out!

We have enjoyed learning about the war, this week

We got our hands messy in Science by making our own models of the digestive system out of playdough.

Look at our fantastic home learning!

We have enjoyed finding out about war

We are so proud of our home learning

Our entry point to the topic, looking at each other’s emergency escape bags.

We love our topic and are proud to 'show off' our home learning
